Shaïmau

After painstakingly researching the Mau breed and discovering the many attributes,personality, physical characteristics and temperament we decided to open the Shaïmau cattery in 2003.

Our initial cattery started with a female Dishâsha from Belgium and a male Mihos from Arizona, USA. Both cats have the markings of a small leopard but with personalitics of the best kind.

Because of the affection we have found in this breed of cat, we have become committed to preserving the breed and extending the opportunity for others to find the enjoyment we have found with the Egyptian mau cat.

The name of our Shaïmau cattery literally means a competent friendly, dependable breed of cat.
